The phrase “touch up” is most usually used to describe the re-coating of very tiny localized parts of a recently painted surface in order to conceal minor damage or to cover up small surface flaws, such as scuff marks, that happened quickly after the painting process was done. While creating a blemish-free surface is important to the property owner and/or the builder, it is not always possible to create an undetectable touch-up. The shadows generated by natural or artificial light striking the painted surface at low or sharp angles will highlight any little flaws that may still be present, or subtle variances across the surface will be amplified. At Garrett & Woods Painters, you will get excellent pain to touch up for all residential and commercial purposes. Our paint touch up services come with a proper inspection that helps us understand which areas we need to repaint are. Accordingly, our experts carry out the work.
We can touch up any previously painted interior walls. We can also touch up spots we can reach without using a ladder on this visit. Only typical scuffs that develop at the “human level” are eligible for our free touch-up service (less than six feet high). You’ll need a new painting estimate if you have damage higher up, such as scuffs from curtain installation or stains from a roof water leak. We understand that your baseboards and cabinets might suffer from wear and tear as well. However, to create a smooth surface again, those areas normally require filling and sanding any dents, priming the filler material, and then adding two coats of final color to blend the touch-ups in. As a result, they frequently take considerably longer than an hour to touch up! If we previously painted your cabinets and they now have dings or chips that need to be repaired, our estimator may come out and determine whether the damage is covered by our guarantee. We want you to be happy with your painted cabinets for a long time, so we’ll do any warranty work for free or let you know how much it would cost to correct more serious damage.
The outside of your house is exposed to far more harsh weather than the interior. This is why it’s critical to have your home’s exterior painted by a qualified expert — paint performs a protective purpose on your property, and it needs to be done correctly. We offer free touch-ups on your home’s exterior because there are so many things that may happen to it, from tree branches scratching it during strong winds to birds or wild animals wreaking havoc. We will gladly take a look and determine if you’d want us to paint a specific region as a separate project. Simply make an appointment for an estimate!
